EDA is an “outward-facing” organisation, constantly interacting with its shareholders, the participating Member States, as well as with a wide range of stakeholders. It works in an integrated way, with multi-disciplinary teams from all functional areas, to deliver on the mission and objectives of the Agency. Business processes are flexible and result focused.
EDA is staffed by Temporary Agents, Contract Agents and Seconded National Experts.
EDA counts about 150 staff members. While the majority of EDA staff have experience from the military or defence sector, EDA also employs professionals with diverse backgrounds coming from the private sector or other EU or international organisations.
In addition, EDA offers each year few traineeship placements through the Blue Book Traineeship scheme run by the European Commission.
EDA embraces diversity and, as an equal opportunity employer, selects its staff without any distinction on grounds of nationality, age, race, gender, political, philosophical or religious conviction or sexual orientation and regardless of disabilities, marital status or other family situation.
